Looking to add to our red power arsenal, we purchased Howard as the high selling bull from the 2018 Davidson Gelbvieh production sale. Having seen his sire as a calf, we were impressed by the depth and thickness this pedigree contains. Howard maximizes that thickness into an explosively long sided package. Howard’s first sons sold in our 2020 sale and were well received by both commercial and seedstock producers. His EPDs have exploded after his first calf crop and truly reflect the performance in this sire!

We purchased this homozygous black & polled New Horizon son as the high seller from the 2018 Oklahoma Sooner Select sale. Blackout combines an awesome EPD profile with stellar ultrasound results, posting a 16.85″ ribeye with a 4.12 IMF – numbers that are easily top 1% for a purebred Gelbvieh. Blackout is a bull who is destined to make his mark on the breed in the future.

The first son of the record setting Right Combination! We saw this dark red meat machine at Agribition as a calf, and he immediately struck us as the best red bull we’ve seen in quite a while. We purchased him out of The Gathering in December, 2017 for $44,000 for half interest and half possession, setting a record for the Gelbvieh breed in Canada. EC was National Champion Bull Calf at 7 months, and Reserve Spring Calf at NWSS. We’re looking forward to big things from this young stud!

We purchased Gunner in October of 2019 based off of a cell phone video. Even as a weaned calf, it was obvious that he had the traits we were looking to add to our herd – smooth made, deep ribbed, and thick from front to back – while offering an elite EPD profile amongst red purebred sires. Gunner was a crowd favorite at the 2020 NWSS, being slapped as Reserve Winter Calf Champion. His first calves will arrive in the spring of 2021. After being slapped as the 2018 Bull Futurity Champion, he was the anchor in our Reserve National Champion Pen of 3 Bulls at NWSS. We begin searching for a potential successor to Paycheck in the spring of 2020. Our search lead us to Goodview Gelbvieh in Canada, and BLB Grinder. Moderate framed, incredibly deep ribbed, and an outcross to all American blood lines. His 12 year old dam, a matriarch in the Goodview program, sealed the deal for us. We used Grinder on a variety of cow types this summer, with his first calves arriving the spring of 2021.
